LETS GO HAWKS!
It all begins tonight, The Road to a Repeat!
In just a few hours from now, fans will assemble at the Stock Exchange Restaurant in downtown Rochester, just like they did just over six months ago. Tonight at 10:00pm EDT, our Rochester Knighthawks begin defending the NLL Champions Cup and proving 2012 was no fluke, but a sign of a dynasty about to begin (see the attached photo).
We've lost a few warriors from that team that carried the Cup around the BCA at the War Memorial that warm spring night, but added veterans in Dan and Paul Dawson and a familiar former Rochester Knighthawk in Casey Powell. The future is looking bright in our fair city and we are quickly becoming a model franchise for the National Lacrosse League. We already know we are World Champion Fans and I can't wait to see all of you and see our World Champion Knighthawks! We'll be raising that banner in two short weeks and I was at the ring ceremony and championship parades both in Six Nations and here in Rochester and these guys love this city and love us the fans. Time has come to drop the white rock and yell from the rafters VINO SAYS NO!
Quick President's Note:
I wanted to take a quick moment to address what was advertised at the exhibition game in December. I never heard the team was starting a Knighthawks fan club, but they have assured me that they want the Knighthawks Krew to continue just as we have for the past 17 years. They have changed the name of their online social program to the Knighthawks Fan Zone , which can be accessed on the teams main website, it's like Facebook but for Knighthawks fan, I've joined and it is a lot of fun. The Knighthawks Krew is working towards complimenting this new initiative with ways for fans to get more points by attending Krew events as well like Viewing Parties, Pre and Post Game Parties, Roadtrips and code words on Hawk Talk!
BREAKING NEWS: The Rochester Knighthawks just announced that their app has gone Live for Apple and Android. I just downloaded it and it is a great looking app! Search Rochester Knighthawks in your app store.
If you are an experienced Joomla! 1.5 user, this Joomla site will seem very familiar. There are new templates and improved user interfaces, but most functionality is the same. The biggest changes are improved access control (ACL) and nested categories. This release of Joomla has strong continuity with Joomla! 1.7 while adding enhancements.
Joomla! 2.5 continues development of the Joomla Framework and CMS as a powerful and flexible way to bring your vision of the web to reality. With the administrator now fully MVC, the ability to control its look and the management of extensions is now complete.
